DIR-2015-1503-DRB-SPP-1 A Council District: 5- Koretz CEQA: ENV-20 15-1504-CE Plan: Westwood Expiration Date: 5-14-16 Appeal Status: Not further appealable PUBLIC HEARING Location: 1130 S. GAYLEY AVENUE Requested Action: An appeal of the Director of Planning's conditional approval of a Project Permit Compliance and Design Review, pursuant to Section11.5.7, and Section 16.50 of the Los Angeles Municipal Code (LAMC). Consideration of Categorical Exemption No. ENV-2015-1504-CE. APPLICANT: Michael McGrath, Le Pain Quotidien Representative: Howard Robinson and Associates, LLC APPELLANT: Sandy Brown, Holmby Westwood Property Owners Association Recommended Action: 1. Deny the appeal of the Director of Planning's conditional approval of a Project Permit Compliance and Design Review. 2. LACHMAN LANE Requested Action: An appeal of the Zoning Administrator's decision to approve a Zoning Administrator's Adjustment from Section 12.21-C, 1(g) of the Los Angeles Municipal Code to allow the continued use, and maintenance of a retaining wall in the side and rear yards ranging in height from 6 feet to 14 feet in lieu of the maximum 6 feet in height otherwise permitted in the side yard, and rear yard in conjunction with the construction of a pool and the continued occupancy of a single- family residence on a 22, 409 square-foot lot in the RE15-1-H Zone. PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD The Area Planning Commission shall provide an opportunity in open meetings for the public to address any items of interest to the public that are within the subject matter jurisdiction of the Area Planning Commission. Persons making requests are encouraged to do so in writing and should submit 10 copies to the area planning commission for its consideration. Persons wishing to speak must submit a speaker’s request form prior to the commencement of the public comment period.
