CITY OF LOS BANOS ADJOURNED CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES JULY 11, 2022 ACTION MINUTES – These minutes are prepared to depict action taken for agenda items presented to the City Council. CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Faria called the City Council Meeting to order at the hour of 10:01 a.m. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: The pledge of allegiance was led by Police Chief Brizzee. ROLL CALL – MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL PRESENT: Council Members Brett Jones, Kenneth Lambert, Deborah Lewis, Mayor Tom Faria; Absent: Refugio LLamas. STAFF MEMBERS PRESENT: City Attorney Vaughn, City Clerk/Human Resources Director Mallonee, Police Chief Brizzee, City Treasurer/Accounting & Budget Supervisor Tomas, Public Works Director/City Engineer Than, Community & Economic Development Director Elms, Police Commander/Acting Fire Chief Reyna, Interim Finance Director Kuhn. CONSIDERATION OF APPROVAL OF AGENDA: Motion by Lewis, seconded by Lambert to approve the agenda as submitted. The motion carried by the affirmative action of all Council Members present, LLamas absent. PUBLIC FORUM: MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC MAY ADDRESS THE CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS ON ANY ITEM OF PUBLIC INTEREST THAT IS WITHIN THE JURISDICTION OF THE CITY; INCLUDES AGENDA AND NON-AGENDA ITEMS. NO ACTION WILL BE TAKEN ON NON-AGENDA ITEMS. Mayor Faria opened the public forum. No one came forward to speak and there were no written comments to be read, therefore the public forum was closed. CONSIDERATION OF INTERIM CITY MANAGER; CITY COUNCIL RESOLUTION NO. 6528 – APPOINTING GREGORY B. WELLMAN AS INTERIM CITY MANAGER AND APPROVING INTERIM CITY MANAGER EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT. City Attorney Vaughn presented the staff report. Motion by Lewis, seconded by Lambert to adopt City Council Resolution No. 6528 – Appointing Gregory B. Wellman as Interim City Manager and Approving Interim City Manager Employment Agreement. The motion carried by the affirmative action of all Council Members present, LLamas absent. ADJOURNMENT.
