CITY OF LOS BANOS AIRPORT ADVISORY COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES APRIL 17, 2018 ACTION MINUTES – These minutes are prepared to depict action taken for agenda items presented to the Airport Advisory Commission. CALL TO ORDER: Commissioner Anderson called the Airport Advisory Commission Meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Commissioner Anderson led the pledge of allegiance. ROLL CALL – MEMBERS OF THE AIRPORT ADVISORY COMMISSION PRESENT: Anderson, Reed, Stichel. STAFF MEMBERS PRESENT: Public Works Director/City Engineer Fachin, Administrative Coordinator de Melo. CONSIDERATION OF APPROVAL OF AGENDA: Motion by Anderson, seconded by Stichel to approve the agenda as submitted. The motion carried by the affirmative vote of all Airport Advisory Commission Members present. CONSIDERATION OF APPROVAL OF THE ACTION MINUTES FOR THE REGULAR MEETING OF February 20, 2018: Motion by Anderson, seconded by Stichel to approve the minutes as submitted. The motion carried by the affirmative vote of all Airport Advisory Commission Members present. PUBLIC FORUM: MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC MAY ADDRESS THE COUNCIL ON ANY ITEM OF PUBLIC INTEREST THAT IS WITHIN THE JURISDICTION OF THE CITY; INCLUDES AGENDA AND NON-AGENDA ITEMS. NO ACTION WILL BE TAKEN ON NON-AGENDA ITEMS. SPEAKERS ARE LIMITED TO A FIVE (5) MINUTE PRESENTATION. DETAILED GUIDELINES ARE POSTED ON THE COUNCIL CHAMBER INFORMATIONAL TABLE. No one came forward to speak and the public forum was closed. AIRPORT 2017/2018 ANNUAL FUEL SALES PROFILE REVIEW. Director/City Engineer Fachin reported the current fuel prices remain competitive for this area. Due to an increase in fuel sales, we did a budget amendment to add more revenue to the budget for the year. AIRPORT 2017/2018 REVENUE/EXPENDITURE UPDATE. Director/City Engineer Fachin stated are on track and our revenues/expenditures are balanced out. PROPOSED 2018/2019 FISCAL YEAR BUDGET REVIEW. Public Works Director/City Engineer Fachin gave a brief overview of the budget numbers that were recently submitted to the Finance Department for their review. AIRPORT FACILITY MAINTENANCE REPORT. Director/City Engineer Fachin reported we have completed adding base rock to the runway. If anyone knows of any items that need repair, please let us know. We will be removing the abandoned trailer in the near future. PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR/CITY ENGINEER REPORT. Director/City Engineer Fachin stated staff met with FAA to discuss the possibility of relocating the Airport. The City Council will need to give direction on how to proceed. COMMISSION MEMBER REPORTS. ANDERSON: Keep up the good work with selling fuel. STICHEL: Asked why the approach for runway 32 changed. Director/City Engineer Fachin said we will look into it. REED: Hopes we fill the vacancies on the Commission soon. Helps the Commission to have quorum. Director/City Engineer Fachin stated we are continually advertising.
