AIRPORT ADVISORY COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES
JUNE 19, 2018
ACTION MINUTES – These minutes are prepared to depict
action taken for agenda items presented to the Airport
Advisory Commission.
CALL TO ORDER: Chairperson Reed called the Airport Advisory Commission Meeting
to order at 5:01 p.m.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Chairperson Reed led the pledge of allegiance.
ROLL CALL – MEMBERS OF THE AIRPORT ADVISORY COMMISSION PRESENT:
Anderson, Axibal, Reed; Stichel excused.
STAFF MEMBERS PRESENT: Public Works Director/City Engineer Fachin,
Administrative Coordinator de Melo.
CONSIDERATION OF APPROVAL OF AGENDA: Motion by Anderson, seconded by
Axibal to approve the agenda as submitted. The motion carried by the affirmative vote
of all Airport Advisory Commission Members present; Stichel excused.
CONSIDERATION OF APPROVAL OF THE ACTION MINUTES FOR THE REGULAR
MEETING OF MAY 15, 2018: Motion by Anderson, seconded by Axibal to approve the
minutes as submitted. The motion carried by the affirmative vote of all Airport Advisory
Commission Members present; Stichel excused.
PUBLIC FORUM: MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC MAY ADDRESS THE COUNCIL ON
ANY ITEM OF PUBLIC INTEREST THAT IS WITHIN THE JURISDICTION OF THE
CITY; INCLUDES AGENDA AND NON-AGENDA ITEMS. NO ACTION WILL BE
TAKEN ON NON-AGENDA ITEMS. SPEAKERS ARE LIMITED TO A FIVE (5)
MINUTE PRESENTATION. DETAILED GUIDELINES ARE POSTED ON THE
COUNCIL CHAMBER INFORMATIONAL TABLE. No one came forward to speak
and the public forum was closed.
AIRPORT 2017/2018 ANNUAL FUEL SALES PROFILE REVIEW. Director/City
Engineer Fachin reported the overall sales for May 2018 were very close to May 2017.
The fuel sales remain to do well.
AIRPORT 2017/2018 REVENUE/EXPENDITURE UPDATE. Director/City Engineer
Fachin stated the reports in the packet reflect almost the entire fiscal year. Our budget
did well in staying on track and balanced.
PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR/CITY ENGINEER REPORT. Director/City Engineer
Fachin stated we have continued mowing of the weeds. The City Manager has
submitted a Letter of Disposition for the land at the Airport to the FAA. We will be
posting information on drone registration on the City’s website.
COMMISSION MEMBER REPORTS.
ANDERSON: Welcomed the new Commissioner.
STICHEL: Excused.
AXIBAL: Has lived in Los Banos since 2011. Served on the Parks & Recreation
Commission last year. Looking forward to serving this year on the Airport Commission.
REED: Welcomed Rula to the Commission.
ADJOURNMENT: The meeting was adjourned at the hour of 5:11 p.m.
