Rondeau, MAA Deputy Chief Assessor THE MEETING OF THE BOARD OF ASSESSORS Amy Lombardo LOWELL MA October 16, 2024 Assessor A meeting of the Board of Assessors took place on October 22, 2024 at 2:00 PM in Room 36 at Lowell City Hall: In attendance: Chief Assessor; E. Brideau, Deputy Chief Assessor; R. Rondeau, A. Lombardo; Assessor, C. Hughes; Assessor E. Brideau called to order the meeting at 2:00 PM  Review of minutes from October 01, 2024 meeting – R. Rondeau made a motion to approve the minutes, A. Lombardo 2nd 2. Applications for MOTOR VEHICLE EXCISE TAX ABATEMENTS (supporting documentation attached to each application)  Motor Vehicle Excise Abatements o Week of September 23 to September 27 – Approved by signatures o Week of September 30 to October 04 – Approved by signatures o Week of October 07 to October 11 – Approved by signatures 3. FY25 Interim – The Department of Revenue approved our values, and we are having a classification on November 12, 2024. 4. Statutory Exemptions – Clause 17E: 5 applications, Clause 22: 6 applications, Clause 22D: 1 application, Clause 22E: 4 applications, Clause 37A: 1 application, Clause 41C: 5 applications, and 1 Senior Volunteer – E. Brideau made a motion to approve these applications, A. Lombardo 2nd  Clause 41C: 2 applications were denied by signatures 5. Old Business – None 6. New Business – Not anticipated within 48 hrs.  The Board of Assessors voted to release $250,000 from the overlay account to the surplus account – R. Rondeau made a motion to approve the minutes, A.
