VOTES FROM THE CITY MANAGER 3.1. Votes - Authorizing The City Manager And Superintendent Of Schools To Submit Statements Of Interest To The Massachusetts School Building Authority For The Accelerated Repair Of Roofs, Boilers, And Windows At The Following Schools: Bartlett, Butler, Daley, Greenhalge, Lincoln, McAuliffe, McAvinnue, Moody, Murkland, Robinson, Rogers, Shaughnessy, And Wang. In City Council, Manager Donoghue outlined presentation entitled “City of Lowell Accelerated Repair Program – Information and Updates” which covered the background of the program; reason for vote and meeting; Lowell participation in the program; 2021 City of Lowell • 375 Merrimack Street • Lowell, MA 01852 • www.lowellma.gov  (Page 2 of 4) eligible projects; and timeline. Manager Donoghue noted that this an application and not a guarantee and that there are other projects that are being reviewed as well. C. Elliott noted the imperative need for the vote as the schools are not new and there is always a need to invest in them. C. Mercier noted the need for the outlined fixes in the presentation. C. Samaras noted the need to keep schools in good repair. Mr. Lay noted the school community will be grateful for the assistance. Motion by C. Mercier, seconded by C.
