Sign-in Andy Hostetler, Amy Pessia, Anne Marie Porter, Joyce Dastou, Eric Lamarche, Beverly Gonsalves, John Lawlor Absent: Mary Donnelly, Vincenzo Milinazzo II. Pledge of Allegiance III. Approval of Minutes Motion by Joyce, seconded Amy, all approve. Sept. Motion by Anne-Marie, seconded Joyce, all approve. Oct. IV. Chairperson’s Report Outreach and Healthy Aging Committee met. Age Friendly Lowell project is moving forward. First steps include Older Adult Action Group: advisory group for the project made up of a diverse group of seniors. Recruitment is key. Up to 25 people. Will convene early in the new year. They’ll decide on their mission, name, the idea is for them to be involved in every aspect from nuts to bolts. Lil and Andy prepared a flyer, received feedback from committee to start advertising, also developed volunteer job description. National Night Out was fun, did a car parade from the Elks Lodge to Cawley Stadium with 15 cars, festive. Rush hour (not ideal time), not many waiting but folks happened to see them. Consider fall harvest parade on a Saturday afternoon. V. Director’s Report See Lil’s report, attached. VI. Lowell Sun, WCAP, Reach Out MA in newsletter. Seniors are struggling with access to and comfort with technology. b. HAC Committee Report – Age-Friendly Lowell, getting Older Adult Action Group. Next committee meeting, could we do Friday 11/13 at 2pm. VII. Items for Discussion a. Old Business b. New Business i. Amy Pessia will be resigning, interested to stay as unofficial member of outreach committee, will work on getting senior center announcement on the message board on LTC. Eric will also be resigning due to a move. ii. Election of officers and selection of committee assignments for 2021 1. Vice-Chair: John Lawlor. All in favor. 2. Treasurer: Joyce Dastou. All in favor. VIII. Other IX. Adjournment a. Anne-Marie motioned, John seconded, all approved. Adjourn at 9:33am Remote Participation: Pursuant to Governor Baker's Emergency Order modifying the State's Open Meeting Law issued March 12, 2020, meetings will be held using remote participation as follows: those wishing to speak regarding a specific agenda item shall register to speak in advance of the meeting with Lil Hartman indicating the agenda item and a phone number to call so that you may be tele-conferenced in to the meeting.
