Absent: Jerry Bisantz; Bianca Mauro; Olu Ibrahim The meeting was called to order at 6:44 PM. 1. New Council Administrator a. Dei introduced Erin Duffey as the new administrator of the Lowell Cultural Council. 2. Mosaic Presentation a. Amidon presented on Mosaic Lowell, the next arts and cultural plan for Lowell. In information gathering phase of the planning process. Draft plan will be released in June for feedback; final plan to be released in September. b. Council could potentially partner with on a Council initiated project, but would need lead time to develop this. Mosaic can also promote Council grants for their projects. 3. April 7 Reception th a. Reminder to grantees to RVSP to be sent by Duffey. b. Might have music from the Lowell Community Charter School. 4. Council Logo a. Previously discussed about hiring out through RFP; payment for selected artist would be $4000. b. Noel has drafted an RFP but will also put together some logo examples for Council to review since that will be faster than issuing a RFP (that would not be sooner than June.) 5. Council Guidelines a. Council members should review and read priorities. b. Also need to offer grant training and need a date. c. Community input survey can be done via email, Google surveys on social media. 6. Marketing Training a. Noel suggested Council pick a date for training. As a reminder, Council should read the proposal for training that Noel has prepared. b. Modules are structured as different topics. Conversation around modules will build upon previous content. Can schedule modules weekly for three weeks. 7. Membership a. Still looking for new members. b. Call has decided not to renew but said would consider staying on if no longer secretary. c. Karke agreed to serve as secretary. Elections are in June. Meeting adjourned at 8:15 PM.
