Lowell Cultural Council Meeting Minutes April 23 , 2024 Attending: Erin Duffey (Administrator); Rona Gofstein; Beth Noel; Kshitij Karke (KK); Meghan Stebbins; Chanmony Huot; Bethanne Welch The meeting was called to order at 6:49 PM. 1. Peter Crewe; Public art permit, to be done in June by Simply Khmer 2. Grantee Reception planning. - Location: UTech estimate is $1600, Middlesex can potentially donate or lower cost to host us - We can hold the reception at any time we want - Budget: $2300 ($1300 food + decorations), light refreshments, might need a legal bartender - Presentations by projects that have already been done - We could potentially ask grantees to have their own tables to be able to network and publicize their event if it hasn’t happened yet 3. Council-initiated programming. - Market and pay for artists at art market - Location: Mill No. 5 - This could potentially be an annual event - Lowell locals to only have tables at the event 4. General discussion. Meeting adjourned at 7:20 PM. END
