Chairman Linnehan called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm I. Minutes for Approval II. Continued Business III. New Business Fair Housing Training Jennifer Raitt, the Executive Director of the Northern Middlesex Council of Governments (NMCOG), will present Fair Housing training on behalf of the Citizen’s Planning and Training Collaborative (CPTC). J. Raitt presented fair housing training. J. Raitt focused first on what fair housing laws are and the history of fair housing. Next, J. Raitt explained city and town’s duties to affirmatively further fair housing. J. Raitt then discussed an overview of federal, state, and local fair housing laws. Finally, J. Raitt discussed the groups are protected under the Act and what local land use boards can do to affirmatively further fair housing. After the presentation concluded, A. Dolan-Wilson asked what Board members could do in the event that members of the public speak negatively about certain protected groups that violates the Fair Housing Act. J. Raitt recommended starting a meeting by establishing ground rules and recommended that the Board enforce these rules if/when they are broken. IV. Notices V. Other Business VI.
