Richards Lowell, MA 01852 Chair Ellen Anstey Katy Aronoff The Board of Trustees of the Pollard Memorial Library (PML) Governance Committee will be Judith Davidson meeting on December 8, 2023 at 12:00 PM to discuss the by-laws of the PML Trustees, the Suzanne Frechette Bookmobile Policy, and Art Display Policy drafts currently under consideration. The meeting Helen Q. Littlefield will be held at the Pollard Memorial Library in the Director’s Office. The public is invited to Muriel Parseghian attend. Amy Watson On March 29, 2023, Governor Healey signed into law a supplemental budget bill which, among other things, extends the temporary provisions pertaining to the Open Meeting Law to March 31, 2025. Specifically, this further extension allows public bodies to continue holding meetings remotely without a quorum of the public body physically present at a meeting location, and to provide "adequate, alternative" access to remote meetings. The language does not make any substantive changes to the Open Meeting Law other than extending the expiration date of the temporary provisions regarding remote meetings from March 31, 2023 to March 31, 2025. Members of the public wishing to attend the meeting and/or speak regarding a specific agenda item should email the Interim Library Director at bcooley@lowellma.gov indicating your name and on which agenda item(s) you would like to speak. Since the meeting is hybrid, you may attend in-person in the Director’s Office at the Library or online. If the meeting is hybrid and you do not wish to attend in-person, you will be sent the access information needed to join the meeting.
