LOWELL SCHOOL COMMITTEE SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES Date: June 6, 2019 Time: 6:00PM Location: City Council Chamber, 375 Merrimack Street, 2nd Floor, Lowell, MA 01852 1. SALUTE TO FLAG 2. ROLL CALL On a roll call at 6:11 p.m., members present were, namely: Mayor Samaras, Mr. Descoteaux, Mr. Hoey, Mr. Lay, Ms. Martin and Mr. Nutter. Ms. Doherty was absent. 3. SPECIAL ORDER OF BUSINESS 3.I. It Is Anticipated At This Special Meeting Of The Lowell School Committee That The Matter Below Will Be Discussed In Executive Session. 4. EXECUTIVE SESSION 4.I. For The Purpose Of Discussing Contract Negotiations For Non-Union Personnel, For Incoming Superintendent Dr. Boyd, Of Which Open Discussion May Detrimentally Affect The School Committee’s Position. Ms. Martin made a motion to recess at 6:15 p.m. and to enter into Executive Session, for the purpose of discussing contract negotiations for non-union personnel, for incoming Superintendent Dr. Boyd, of which open discussion may detrimentally affect the School Committee’s position and to adjourn from Executive Session; seconded by Mr. Descoteaux. 6 yeas, 1 absent APPROVED Lowell Public Schools • 155 Merrimack Street • Lowell, MA 01852 • http://www.lowell.k12.ma.us  (Page 2 of 2) 5.
