SALUTE TO FLAG 2. ROLL CALL On a roll call at 6:06 p.m., all members were present, namely: Ms. Clark, Mr. Descoteaux, Mr. Dillon, Ms. Doherty, Mr. Hoey, Mayor Leahy and Ms. Martin. 3. SPECIAL ORDER OF BUSINESS 3.1. This Meeting Is Being Held Remotely In Accordance With The Governor Of Massachusetts’ March 12, 2020 Order Suspending Certain Provisions Of The Open Meeting Law G.L. C. 30A, Section 20. Mayor Leahy read to the public that this meeting was being held remotely in accordance with the Governor of Massachusetts’ March 12, 2020 order suspending certain provisions of the Open Meeting Law G.L.C. 30A, Section 20. 3.2. An Executive Session May Be Called To Discuss Collective Bargaining, Strategies and/or Possible Litigation Under Open Meeting Law, Chapter 30A, Section 21 (A) (B), 2, 3 Of The Commonwealth Of Massachusetts General Laws. Open Meeting Discussion May Have A Detrimental Effect On The Bargaining Or Litigating Position Of The Public Body. 4. PERMISSION TO ENTER 4.1. Permission to Enter: June 25, 2020 Ms. Martin made a motion to approve the Permission to Enter; seconded by Mr. Descoteaux. 7 yeas APPROVED Lowell Public Schools • 155 Merrimack Street • Lowell, MA 01852 • http://www.lowell.k12.ma.us (Page 2 of 3) Mr. Hoey made a motion to recess at 6:09 p.m. and to enter into Executive Session for the purpose of discussing Collective Bargaining, Strategies and/or Possible Litigation Under Open Meeting Law, Chapter 30A, Section 21 (A) (B), 2, 3 Of The Commonwealth Of Massachusetts General Laws related to an update on negotiations in regard to Central Office lease and an update on claims related to the transportation contract, of which Open Meeting Discussion May Have A Detrimental Effect On The Bargaining Or Litigating Position Of The Public Body, and to return from Executive Session to open session; seconded by Mr. Descoteaux. 7 yeas APPROVED The Committee returned to open session and on a roll call at 7:02 p.m., all members were present, namely: Ms. Clark, Mr. Descoteaux, Mr. Dillon, Ms. Doherty, Mr. Hoey, Mayor Leahy and Ms. Martin. 5. NEW BUSINESS 5.1. Consideration of and vote of Proposed Amendment of Lease for 155 Merrimack Street (1st, 4th, 5th Floors) Mr. Hoey made a motion to approve the Proposed Amendment of Lease for 155 Merrimack Street (1st, 4th, 5th Floors); seconded by Ms. Martin. 7 yeas APPROVED 6. EXECUTIVE SESSION 6.1. Items: 1. Update on Negotiations in regard to Central Office lease 2.
