LOWELL SCHOOL COMMITTEE REGULAR MEETING MINUTES Date: June 7, 2020 Time: 7:00PM Location: Stem Academy at the Rogers School Room 116 43 Highland Street Pursuant To Governor Baker's Emergency Order Modifying The State's Open Meeting Law Issued March 12, 2020, Meetings Will Be Held Using Remote Participation As Follows: Members Of The Public May Not Participate In-Person And May View The Meeting Via LTC.ORG (On-Line; Live Streaming Or Local Cable Channel 99) And Zoom. 1. SALUTE TO FLAG 2. ROLL CALL On a roll call at 7:09 p.m., members present were, namely: Ms. Clark, Mr. Descoteaux, Mr. Dillon, Mayor Leahy and Ms. Martin. Ms. Doherty and Mr. Lay were absent. 3. SPECIAL ORDER OF BUSINESS 3.1. An Executive Session May Be Called To Discuss Collective Bargaining, Strategies and/or Possible Litigation Under Open Meeting Law, Chapter 30A, Section 21 (A) (B), 2, 3 Of The Commonwealth Of Massachusetts General Laws. Open Meeting Discussion May Have A Detrimental Effect On The Bargaining Or Litigating Position Of The Public Body. 4. EXECUTIVE SESSION 4.1. Items: A. Update on negotiations and consideration of proposals for UTL paraprofessionals, teachers, cafeteria employees, and building service employees, and mediation B. Update on negotiations and consideration of proposals for SEIU C.
