LOWELL SCHOOL COMMITTEE SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES Date: June 12, 2024 Time: 7:30 PM or immediately after the regular School Committee meeting Location: Stoklosa School Auditorium, 560 Broadway Street, Lowell, MA 01854 1. SALUTE TO FLAG 2. ROLL CALL On a roll call at 7:57 p.m., all members present were, namely: Mr. Lay, Ms. Martin, Mayor Rourke, Ms. Delrossi and Ms. Doherty. Mr. Bahou and Mr. Conway arrived at 7:58 p.m. 3. SPECIAL ORDER OF BUSINESS 3.1. An Executive Session may be called to discuss collective bargaining, strategies and/or possible litigation under Open Meeting Law, Chapter 30A, Section 21 (A) (B), 2, 3 of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts General Laws. Open meeting discussion may have a detrimental effect on the bargaining or litigating position of the public body. 4. EXECUTIVE SESSION 4.1. Items: 1. Litigation Update: Transportation 2. Discussion and Review of Compensation and Contract for Associate Head of School 3. Collective Bargaining Update and Review of Proposals: UTL & LSAA 4. Review of Successor Contract Proposal - Chief Operation Officer Ms. Martin made a motion to recess at 7:58 p.m. and to enter into Executive Session for the purpose of discussing collective bargaining, strategies and/or possible litigation under open meeting law, Chapter 30A, Section 21 (A) (B), 2, 3 of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts General Laws for a litigation update for transportation, discussion and review of compensation and contract for Associate Head of School, collective bargaining update and review of proposals for UTL & LSAA, and review of a successor contract proposal for the Chief Operating Officer, of which open meeting discussion may have a detrimental effect on the bargaining or litigating position of the public body, and to adjourn from Executive Session; seconded by Ms. Delrossi. 7 yeas APPROVED Lowell Public Schools • 155 Merrimack Street • Lowell, MA 01852 • http://www.lowell.k12.ma.us  (Page 2 of 2) 5.
