10. Community Input: Meeting Open to the Public:
(Limit comments to 5 minutes per person)
The City of Luna Pier operates under rules of parliamentary procedure, which states, “Citizens have the right to
attend the meetings and be permitted to address the body on matters that are relevant to business. Citizens must
observe all of the rules that are set. Members of the public attending the meetings of the governmental body DO
NOT have the right to interrupt or heckle. During public comment time, they have the right to ask to be heard by
requesting permission of the body through the Mayor. All questions, comments and remarks must ALWAYS be
addressed through the Mayor.” Public Comment time is just that—an opportunity for the public to comment. It is
NOT a time for a debate, exchange of ideas, or opportunity to harass board members, all of which will not be
permitted at the City of Luna Pier Council meetings.
11. Council Action Needed:
A. Event Policy
A proposed motion to approve/deny the Proposed Event Policy for all
future City sponsored events to use as a guideline to host the event,
as presented, waiving the reading
B. Working Agreement for 2021/22 Fiscal year
A proposed motion to approve/deny the working agreement for
2021/22 fiscal year as presented, waiving the reading
C. Resignation from Jodi Loewenstein from the Housing Commission
A proposed motion to approve/deny the resignation with regret from
Jodi Loewenstein from the Housing Commission as presented, waiving
the reading.
D. South County Water 2021 Improvements Contract
A proposed motion to approve/deny the Monroe County Water System
No.1 2021 Improvement Contract with installments due June 1
starting 2022 and ending 2041 as presented, waiving the reading
E. Budget Amendments for 2020/2021 Fiscal
A proposed motion to approve/deny the 2020/21 Budget amendments
as presented, waiving the reading.
F. Fire Dept. purchase of PPE per 2020 FEMA COVID 2019 Grant
A proposed motion to approve/deny the purchase of PPE (gloves,
Sprayer, Solution, Handwashing Station, Hand Sanitizing
Station) for the Luna Pier Fire Department per the 2020 FEMA
COVID 2019 Grant. The grant will pay ($4881.98) four thousand
eight hundred, eighty-one dollars and ninety-eight cents, the
Fire Dept. match will be in the amount of (244.10) two hundred
forty four dollars and ten cents as presented, waiving the
reading
G. Close the regular meeting and open the Public Hearing on 2021/22 Budget
A proposed motion to approve/deny to close the regular meeting
and open the Public Hearing on the 2021/22 Fiscal Year Budget
with all members being present.

A proposed motion to approve/deny to close the Public Hearing
and open the Regular Meeting with all members being present.
I. 2021/22 Budget Approval
A proposed motion to approve/deny to approve the 2021-22
Fiscal Year Budget as presented, waiving the reading
