Community Input: Meeting Open to the Public: (Limit comments to 5 minutes per person) The City of Luna Pier operates under rules of parliamentary procedure, which states, “Citizens have the right to attend the meetings and be permitted to address the body on matters that are relevant to business. Citizens must observe all of the rules that are set. Members of the public attending the meetings of the governmental body DO NOT have the right to interrupt or heckle. During public comment time, they have the right to ask to be heard by requesting permission of the body through the Mayor. All questions, comments and remarks must ALWAYS be addressed through the Mayor.” Public Comment time is just that—an opportunity for the public to comment. It is NOT a time for a debate, exchange of ideas, or opportunity to harass board members, all of which will not be permitted at the City of Luna Pier Council meetings. 11. Council Action Needed: A. City of Luna Pier & John Gaynier Farming Agreement 2025 • A proposed motion to approve/deny the Farming Agreement between the City of Luna Pier and John Gaynier, for which Mr. Gaynier will pay the city $200 as presented, waiving the reading. B. Freedom Festival Special Event Application • A proposed motion to approve/deny the annual Freedom Festival, including garage sales, vendors, food trucks and fireworks, to be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025, and waiving the event application fee as presented, waiving the reading. C. Resolution No. 975-Poverty Exemption Guidelines 2025 • A proposed motion to approve/deny Resolution No. 975-Poverty Exemption Guidelines 2025 as presented, waiving the reading. D. FEMA’s Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) • A proposed motion to approve/deny applying for the FEMA’s Assistance to Firefighters Grant, with the city covering $40,000 of the $738,000 fire truck as presented, waiving the reading. E. ARPA Projects List • A proposed motion to approve/deny the ARPA Projects List as presented, waiving the reading F. Planning Commissioner Recommendation for Open Seat • A proposed motion to approve/deny Ford Crane as a Planning Commissioner, filling an open seat and serving a 2-year term ending 1/15/27 as presented, waiving the reading G. Resolution No. 976-EGLE Grant Pier Engineering Study • A proposed motion to approve/deny Resolution No. 975-EGLE Pier Engineering Study to determine repairs and stabilization needed for the pier, and to approve the grant request amount of $30,000 and the one-to-one match required as presented, waiving the reading. 12.
