The City of Luna Pier operates under rules of parliamentary procedure, which states, “Citizens have the right to
attend the meetings and be permitted to address the body on matters that are relevant to business. Citizens must
observe all of the rules that are set. Members of the public attending the meetings of the governmental body DO
NOT have the right to interrupt or heckle. During public comment time, they have the right to ask to be heard by
requesting permission of the body through the Mayor. All questions, comments and remarks must ALWAYS be
addressed through the Mayor.” Public Comment time is just that—an opportunity for the public to comment. It is
NOT a time for a debate, exchange of ideas, or opportunity to harass board members, all of which will not be
permitted at the City of Luna Pier Council meetings.
11. Council Action Needed:
A. Ord #248 - Fire Code Adoption Ordinance – 2024 Edition
(First Reading)
• A proposed motion to approve/deny Ord. #248 – Fire Code Adoption of
the 2024 Edition of the International Fire Code – First Reading as
presented, waiving the reading.
B. Police Vehicle Purchase
• A proposed motion to approve/deny the Police Department’s purchase
of a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 in the amount of $46,989.00 as
presented, waiving the reading.
C. Decker Insurance Package
• A proposed motion to approve/deny the Decker Insurance Package in
the amount of $46,689.00 for one-year effective 11-01-2025 to 11-
01-2026 as presented, waiving the reading.
