TOPICS: A. PRESENTATION FOR GREENLIGHT PINELLAS- by Bob Lasher PSTA City Manager, Shane B. Crawford CM: We only have one side coming to make a presentation on May 27t\ 2014. So far, the counter position has not confirmed that they will attend. B. PRESENTATION ON CROSSWALKS AND EDUCATING THE PUBLIC Deputy John Luckett, PCSO CM: Deputy Luckett will make a safety presentation - this is a pretty straightforward topic. C. DISCUSSION ON AMENDMENTS TO THE CHRONIC NUISANCE ORDINANCE Commissioner Elaine Poe BOC Agenda Setting M eeting 05/13/2014 1 CM: Commissioner Poe and the CM sat in a meeting with the CA. D. UPDATE ON LIBRARY BOARD APPLICANTS City Manager, Shane B. Crawford, City Clerk Aimee Servedio CM: Reminded the Assistant to the City Manager and the CCPT to get the resumes to the Board so they can look over and consider an applicant for the position. E. DISCUSSION OF FIREFIGHTERS SALARY ADJUSTMENT City Manager, Shane B. Crawford, Finance Director, Vincent Tenaglia CM: In the last two years, the turnover for firefighters has been over 70%. This needs to be addressed and we need to figure out why this is happening and consider solutions. This may include changes to the contracts. F. DISCUSSION ON POSSIBLE PURCHASE OF DON'S DOCK City Manager, Shane B. Crawford, Central Services Director Dave Morsicano CM: On Friday, CSD had the inspection completed and when the report is due, it will most likely require a special workshop on the topic. CA reviewed the offer by the owners. G. UPDATE ON SOBER HOUSE BILL Commissioner Elaine Poe Commissioner Poe: HB462 never passed, because of that, is there anything we can do? CA: We can't do anything, the bill didn't pass. The consensus was that G will be taken off the agenda. H. UPDATE ON SHORT TERM RENTALS Commissioner Elaine Poe CM: This topic will basically be an update on how staff will proceed. An item was added by the CM: I. Contracting out Code Enforcement and Building Department to Redington Beach. This has been proposed in the area and we should further discuss it. A motion to approve the Agenda for the May 2i\ 2014 Workshop was made by Commissioner Lister and seconded by Commissioner Shontz.
