CM: This is an approval for an expenditure of the band shell at the Recreation Center that has now been completed and was used during Unity Fest. (BUILDING PERMIT FEE SCHEDULE), SECTION 8. (RENTAL INSPECTION FEE) TO ADD CONSULTATION FEE; ARTICLE V. (PARKS & RECREATION), SECTIONS B.1.d. (RESIDENT HOURLY RATES BY ROOM) AND B.l.e. (NON-RESIDENT HOURLY RATES BY ROOM) TO ADD FEES FOR CITY CENTRE ROOM, SECTION B.2.d. (RESIDENT HOURLY RATES BY ROOM) AND B.2.e. (NON-RESIDENT HOURLY RATES BY ROOM) TO ADD FRIDAY-SUNDAY RENTAL RATES; SECTION B.2.g. CM: These are the fees that were discussed at the July 28 th Workshop. The Fees and Collection Procedure Manual needs to be updated by resolution before any new fees can be legally charged. REPORTS/CORRESPONDENCE • CITY COMMISSION Mayor Palladeno: There was a film crew from Switzerland that toured Madeira Beach, John's Pass, and the Gulf of Mexico. Tourism is increasing in the area and John's Pass is getting some more recognition. • CITY ATTORNEY CA: Announced that tomorrow, August 12th , there will be yet another Special Magistrate - Code Enforcement Hearing and the City will present three short term rental cases. The City is moving forward with action against illegally operated short term rentals. 08/25/2015 BOC Special Meeting 2 13  • CITY MANAGER CM: Announced that the City is renting out the City Centre Room to host the Captain's Dinner for the LOOP Billfish Tournament. PW /MD: As you probably noticed, there are two boats parked outside and this is for the Captain's Dinner for the LOOP Tournament. This will be the first event that we will host at the new City Centre for the Old Salts. The weigh-in and set-up will be at the Municipal Marina - there are sixteen boats involved in this tournament, which if more than doubled from last year. CM: The entry fee for this tournament is $25,000 - this is a worthwhile event for the City to host. The dinner starts at 6:30 p.m. tonight, they are setting up now. • CITY CLERK - None K.
