City of Madeira Beach Agenda BOC Workshop Agenda Setting Meeting Wednesday, July 8, 2020 @ 5:45 PM Commission Chambers The Board of Commissioners of the City of Madeira Beach, Florida will meet in the Patricia Shontz Commission Chambers at City Hall, located at 300 Municipal Drive, Madeira Beach, Florida to discuss the agenda items of City Business listed at the time indicated below. WORKSHOP AGENDA SETTING MEETING Items for Wednesday, July 22, 2020, Regular Workshop Meeting A. Establish a schedule for Town Hall meetings - Board of Commissioners B. Community Unity Month - Vice Mayor Andrews C. Major community events (Seafood Festival, Old Salt Fishing Tournaments) - Vice Mayor Andrews D. Invitation to Bid for IT Services - Board of Commissioners E. Update on the progress of the complaint against Jonathan Evans (based on his negotiating with Riviera Beach while actively employed by Madeira Beach) - Commissioner Price F. Report on the update of a Restaurant and High and Dry storage at the Marina - Robert Daniels, City Manager G. Review of the Madeira Beach ordinance which defines “accessory structure” and its interpretation - Commissioner Price H. Update on a 4-way stop sign at the intersection of 140th Avenue and North Bay Shore - Robert Daniels, City Manager I. Two traffic issues: (1) Possible placement of a left turn arrow on Madeira Way when turning south on Gulf Blvd; (2) Possible shortened crosswalk light at Madeira Way and 150th/Tom Stuart Causeway - Commissioner Price J. Suggestion by resident regarding litter & pocket parks of possible “volunteer group of Madeira Beach Block Ambassadors.” Having one volunteer rep who is responsible for one to two blocks; would welcome those that are on the beach, hand them a trash bag (imprinted with thank you for keeping Madeira Beach beautiful) - Commissioner Price 4. CONFIRMATION OF DIRECTION BY CITY MANAGER 5. ADJOURNMENT One or more Elected or Appointed Officials may be in attendance.
