City Council Meeting Monday, February 26, 2018 The meeting was called to order by Mayor Mike Grote. Those in attendance were; Andy Gappa, Larry Schickling and John Nelson and Dave Whitney. A Motion was made by John Nelson and seconded by Andy Gappa to approve the agenda. Voting in favor of said motion, Mike Grote, Andy Gappa, Larry Schickling, Dave Whitney and John Nelson, motion was approved. A Motion was made by Dave Whitney and seconded by John Nelson to approve the minutes of the February 5, 2018 City Council Meeting. Voting in favor of said motion, Mike Grote, Andy Gappa, John Nelson, Dave Whitney and Larry Schickling, motion was approved. A Motion was made by Larry Schickling and seconded by Dave Whitney to approve the bills as listed. Voting in favor of said motion, Mike Grote, Andy Gappa and Larry Schickling, Dave Whitney and John Nelson. Motion was approved. A Motion was made by Dave Whitney and seconded by Larry Schickling to approve Resolution 2018-02 a Resolution approving a Bingo Raffle Request to be held on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 for the Madelia Community Hospital Foundation as a fund raiser event. Voting in favor of said motion, Mike Grote, Andy Gappa, John Nelson, Dave Whitney and Larry Schickling, motion was approved. A Motion was made by John Nelson and seconded by Andy Gappa to approve setting and annual fee of $250.00 for an On-Sale Taproom License fee. Voting in favor of said motion, Mike Grote, Andy Gappa, John Nelson, Dave Whitney and Larry Schickling, motion was approved. A Motion was made by Larry Schickling and seconded by Dave Whitney to approve setting an annual fee of $200.00 for an Off-Sale Brewer License fee. Voting in favor of said motion, Mike Grote, Andy Gappa, John Nelson, Dave Whitney and Larry Schickling, motion was approved. A Motion was made by John Nelson and seconded by Larry Schickling to approve the Business License Request of Lost Sanity Brewing for an On-Sale Taproom License for the year 2018 and an Off-Sale Brewer License for the year 2018. Voting in favor of said motion, Mike Grote, Andy Gappa, John Nelson, Dave Whitney and Larry Schickling. Voting against none, motion carried. A Motion was made by Larry Schickling and seconded by John Nelson to approve enforcing Ordinance Code 70.261; Parking, Snow Removal Periods and Street Cleaning. Snow emergencies are called when 3 or more inches of snow have accumulated within the City limits. Until the streets are cleared from curb to curb no one is to park on any street unless you are in an emergency vehicle. It is a violation is you do not remove your vehicle from the street during the Snow Emergency and your vehicle can be ticketed and it may even be towed. The City gives advance warnings and ample time for vehicles to be moved. Vehicles not adhering to this Ordinance will now be ticketed and towed. Voting in favor of said motion, Mike Grote, Andy Gappa, John Nelson, Dave Whitney and Larry Schickling. Voting against none, motion carried. With no further business before the Council, A Motion was made by Dave Whitney and seconded by Andy Gappa to adjourn the meeting. Voting in favor of said motion, Mike Grote, Andy Gappa, John Nelson, Dave Whitney and Larry Schickling. Voting against none, motion carried.
