City Council Meeting Monday, November 9, 2020 The meeting was called to order by Mayor Mike Grote. Those in attendance were; Mike Grote, Cody Eager, Andy Gappa, Larry Schickling and Dave Whitney. A Motion was made by Cody Eager and seconded by Dave Whitney to approve the Consent Items. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote-Yes, Cody Eager-Yes, Andy Gappa-Yes, Larry Schickling-Yes and Dave Whitney-Yes. Motion was approved. A Motion was made by Andy Gappa and seconded by Larry Schickling to approve Resolution 2020-26 for Lease No. 008-0188004-100 Golf Carts thru TCF. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote-Yes, Andy Gappa-Yes, Larry Schickling- Yes and Dave Whitney -Yes. Motion was approved. Cody Eager abstained. A Motion was made by Larry Schickling and seconded by Cody Eager to approve Resolution 2020-27 a resolution approving certifying unpaid charges to County Auditor for 2021 taxes. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote-Yes, Cody Eager-Yes, Andy Gappa-Yes, Larry Schickling – Yes and Dave Whitney-Yes. Motion was approved. A Motion was made by Andy Gappa and seconded by Cody Eager to approve the following business licenses for 2021: Staples Enterprises - Cigarette Christensen Communication – Movie Theater American Legion – Club License Dollar General - Cigarette Expressway - Cigarette Madelia Lanes – Set up and Wine & Strong Beer License LaPlaza Fiesta – Full Liquor license and Sunday Liquor Sunshine Foods - Cigarette Caseys - Cigarette Lost Sanity Brewing – Brewer Off Sale, Sunday Liquor, On Sale Brewer Taproom, On Sale Brewer Taproom Sunday Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote-Yes, Cody Eager-Yes, Andy Gappa-Yes, Larry Schickling – Yes and Dave Whitney-Yes. Motion was approved. To date totals for 2020 Election of Council Position were discussed. Emergency/Special meeting is being called on Thursday, November 12th, 2020 at 5:00p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers to certify the election results. A Motion was made by Andy Gappa and seconded by Cody Eager to approve Jeff Ulmen and Mike Denn to the Light and Power Commission for a three year term. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote-Yes, Andy Gappa-Yes, Dave Whitney-Yes, Larry Schickling-Yes and Cody Eager-Yes. Motion was approved. A Motion was made by Cody Eager and seconded by Dave Whitney to approve Doug Fenske to the Planning Commission for a three year term. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote-Yes, Andy Gappa-Yes, Dave Whitney-Yes, Larry Schickling-Yes and Cody Eager-Yes. Motion was approved. With no further business before the Council, A Motion was made by Andy Gappa and seconded by Cody Eager to adjourn the meeting. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote-Yes, Cody Eager-Yes, Andy Gappa-Yes, Larry Schickling-Yes and Dave Whitney-Yes. Motion was approved.
