Aye: All Nay: None Motion Carries APPROVAL OF MINUTES 1. Approval of Minutes - October 3, 2023 Motion by Palazzolo second by Nagle to approve the minutes as presented. Aye: All Nay: None Motion Carries. MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC Bill Mier Was in attendance. REPORTS 2. Treasurer Report: Trail Tunes Account: $2,206.08, Arts Board Account has $3,109.87, Trail of Treats $146.45. Expenses since the last meeting were as follows: • Spent $96.37 on the Trail of Treats Event. • The Trail Tunes Tips were distributed evenly to all the bands. 407.56 in tips plus 5% ($7.36) of the Beer Tent Proceeds equated to each band receiving an additional $32.92. • The Beer Tent Proceeds were $139.87. 3. Social Media Report: Facebook Group as 1,200 followers, Bandshell activity is high. 227 reactions on the bandshell post. 2 UNFINISHED BUSINESS 4. 2024 Arts Board Work Plan - Council will adopt work plans in January Motion by Nagle Second by Dombrowski, to approve the 2024 Arts Board work plan. Aye: All Nay None Motion Carries 5. Gala (Geralds, Bliss, Dombrowski, Mordarski, Nagle) - November 17, 2023 Nagle gave an update to the group: Sales and holds 57. Check and Cash can be paid to the City Manager Office. The Gala is scheduled from 6:30-12:00PM Please share to social media accounts. Need to have a minimum of 100 by the end of next week. 7 days in advance, $65 until the end of the week. 5 course meal. Open Bar for select cocktails beer and wine. Palazzolo gave the following suggestion “ the Gala is too close to other city events ( MHHP Derby) Derby Tickets are $50.00. Gala Tickets are $65. A lot of money before the holiday season. The group will Coordinate with chamber in the future to ensure there are no confliction dates” Building raffle baskets will occur on November 12th . Motion by Geralds Second by Bliss to allocate up to $250 for Gala Supplies/Donations. Aye: All Nay None Motion Carries Arts Board Eventbrite Subscription $39.50USD per month for 250 tickets Pass on this item for now. Will pursue different options next year. 3  7. Trail of Treats Recap (Geralds, McBride, Theodoroff) Geralds gave an update: Having the rain date on a Sunday limited the amount of people in attendance. People who came enjoyed it. Will like to make the event larger next year. Only 107 signed in officially. Had over 300 signed up this year. 8. Trail Tunes 2024 (Bliss, Dombrowski, Palazzolo, Covert, Mordarski) Councilman Bliss gave an update, The subcommittee had a meeting and discussed 10 unique topics. Everything but one was unanimous, Battle of the bands will happen next year, we will use the Bandstand for battle of the bands. Will do the Beer tent again next year, contingent with having a non-profit to work with. Looking to bring back 12 bands for next year. Voted to submit for the 5k CAB grant request. Do Off the trail event differently. Partnerships, vendor placement and quantity, strolling distribution. Price of $25 for food trucks to participate. They will go on Palmer. 3 trucks with a desert truck. Family Zone may move. Festival date Aug 10 or Aug 24th depending on Availability, Minimal competing events. The backup will move in July. Summer Music in the park, 4 weeks prior, to Trail Tunes. Doing Donut truck. 50/50 raffles each night additional cash for trial tunes. 9. Broadway Karaoke Dance Party (Bliss, Chair-Nagle, Mordarski) Sub Committee is meeting after gala will have dates and plan of action., 10. Band Stand Grant, Consumers Energy Foundation (Dombrowski, Palazzolo, Theodoroff, Geralds, Bliss,) Check Ceremony on November 27th Council Meeting 7:30 PM All Board members are invited to attend. 11. 2024 DIA Inside Out Program Staff Liaison Owczarzak will check into it. If selected we would like to have them in the following areas: Woodpile, Rosies, Civic Center. NEW BUSINESS 12. Arts and Crafts Holiday Gift Guide: Geralds gave an update. Jillian will take lead on it. She would like to see what worked what didn’t in the past. Crafts will be Delivered to the goodfellows by December 7th. Deadline to donate is November 20 Facebook Event will be Created, Nagle can make a graphic, 13. Elections and the Chair Position, 4  Chair Dombrowski still wants to be on the board just not as chair. Well Wishes to Chair Dombrowski, the board thanked him for his leadership as chair the past year and a half Motion by Laurie Second Nagle to Appoint Covert as Chair and McBride as Co-Chair, Nagle as Treasurer, and Staff Liaison Owczarzak as Secretary.
