Approval of Minutes Motion by Aaron, Second by King to approve the June 11th and June 30th meeting minutes as written. Yea: All Nay: None Motion Carries MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC REPORTS 2. Treasurer Report (Mordarski) Motion by Geralds, supported by Aaron, to combine the previously reserved $200 and $100 for the sidewalk mural, for a total of $300 reserved for the mural project, and to release the $600 previously reserved for anniversary t-shirts. Yea: All Nay: None Motion Carries 3. Social Media Report (Nagle) Nagle reported that the Facebook page has received 21,000 views over the last 28 days. She reported that the Inside|Out posts received a lot of attention. The board should be in good shape for Trail Tunes. UNFINISHED BUSINESS 4. Skelebration Trail (Geralds, Dorsey, Young, Wrona, King) Geralds noted that the committee has not been able to meet to brainstorm. Geralds was really looking forward to doing something in partnership with Trunk or Treat, but recreation changed it to the Harvest Fest. Mordarski asked if the Arts Board could do something during Harvest Fest that is artsy. Geralds would prefer a separate event and proposed an October 19th Halloween Event. 5. Trail Tunes 2025 (Bliss, Palazzolo, Aaron, Mier, Davis) Aaron reported that at the July 16 meeting, the subcommittee finalized the event lineup, and all food trucks have been confirmed. Additional vendors are needed, with a $25 table fee and a requirement to bring their own table. Nagle has requested information to create a social media post to recruit vendors. Mordarski noted that the golf cart will not be available for the event; however, the City can provide two wagons for use. She also requested the addresses of the bands, while Young asked for their Facebook or website links. Covert mentioned that during his previous service on the committee, he had established a Trail Tunes vendor email account at ttunesvendors@gmail.com. 6. Civic Center Hopscotch (Geralds) No discussion. 7. DIA Inside|Out 2025 (Geralds, Nagle, King, Young) The Inside|Out bus tour was a great success. Mordarski will request a smaller bus for an additional DIA Inside|Out tour. The “Bring Your Inside Artist Out” Paint Night scheduled for the 20th is fully prepared, with all supplies confirmed. The art exhibit is planned for Saturday, the 27th, from 2:00 to  3:30 p.m. in the library, pending confirmation from Mordarski. Nagle will provide a speaker for the Paint Night event. 8. Summer Concert Series (Aaron, Bliss, Geralds, King, Soto-Olsen) Mordarski noted that Consumers Energy is hosting its Neighborhood Festival from 5-7 pm at Civic Center Park, but it will conclude just before the summer concert starts. 9. Arts Board Merch (King, Covert, Aaron, Wrona) No discussion. 10. Bandshell Utilization Subcommittee (Geralds, Covert, King, Mier, Palazzolo) No discussion. NEW BUSINESS Grant Opportunity: Inclusive Arts Fund Geralds shared information about the Inclusive Arts Fund grant opportunity through the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan. The grant, requested for $10,000 by the Women’s Club, aims to support educational and artistic initiatives. The Women’s Club is interested in partnering with the Arts Board to implement activities such as summer concerts featuring cultural dance, an adaptive music experience, sensory-friendly activities, a photography workshop and exhibit through the library, an ASL-led workshop, and a history-inspired storytelling event in collaboration with the Historical Commission that may include youth interviews with older residents. Geralds noted that the club will be notified by October regarding the grant’s approval.
