(Report Attached) 7. Mayor’s Report: No report 8. Council Liaison Report: No report. 9. Discussion: Madison Summer Clam Bake--Aug. 16 Carla: Rain date Aug. 17. At train station. If both days rain, possibly in firehouse bays. 4-9pm. No alcohol. Activities include live music, 2-3 inflatables. Movie after 9pm. 30 ft. screen and unlimited popcorn. Gift from DDC to Madison. “Break Even” event. Tickets $25 adults presale, $35 on site, $15 under 12 pre, $10 on site. Includes all you can eat, inflatables, games, movie, root beer. Americana games. Kona Ice Truck to sell. Marketing plan in progress. MOTION to allocate $5000 towards the Madison Summer Clam Bake. Pat. Second. Larry. Discussion: Committee will work within the budget. Meeting on the burner. • Public Improvement Committee: – Chamber Award!— The Chamber of Commerce awarded the DDC with the “Best New Sign” award for the Alley Way signs. Russell Stern attended the Chamber dinner and accepted the award. He gave the credit to Brad Cramer and Craig Erezuma. – Sidewalk Sounds– rockin on – Historic Town Tour Update—Meeting with Mark DeBiasse in October to make this into a graded HS course. – Wayfinding Signs—On target and saving town money. 13. Farmers Market – June 5-Oct. 16 Consider keeping market open until 6:30 during summer. “Due to high demand” MOTION: Allocate $50 to make a Flat Madison out of plywood for FM. Maureen. Sec. Pat. New Business a. Integrated Social Media consultant Brad suggests we consider the higher end, $650, proposal. Craig thinks the DDC should create a larger business plan for which this is a piece.
