Introductions
We introduced the new Madison Health Department Staff
and Alexis Cuneo, interim SAC
Lindsay Prewitt will is taking over the coordinator position
restoring it to the Health Educator , Terry Ziegler will return to
Chairperson position
We welcomed new board members—Lisa Sprague, Katie Koontz,
John Hoover, Vincent Galgano and Pat Rowe(boro council liaison)
Tricia Armstrong will serve as treasurer

Rooney. MAASA to sponsor $500 fee. Communicating with
Brett Levine
Grants and Funding:
Supplemental Funding from Freeholders- used for the drunk goggles
and gala giveaways.
MAASA donation solicitation for the electric bills for the May mailing
Need inserts to Borough in March
In Process/ completed Programs and events:
Student Survey: completed mid December. Results expected
mid February. Participation was good. (967 Madison students
and 1900 Chatham students.
Every 15 Minutes- setback, BOE has not line item for the project.
MAASA will donate funding
Morris County Alliances, Events and Training—
Next County wide alliance meeting is scheduled for Wednesday 2/15
From 5:30-8pm in the office of Temporary Assistance ground
floor converence room (340 West Hanover Avenue,
Morristown)
New Business
Paint the Town Yellow-March 20th is Optimism Day-During the month,
Businesses in town will be displaying artwork and hosting
Performance artists who will bring optimistic works to
Madison.
Sticker Shock-Frank I. will coordinate the annual Sticker Shock Campaign
With permission from local liquor stores, place neon green stickers
on items to remind purchasers that it is illegal to serve people
under 21. MAASA to send a press release thanking participating
merchants
We are working with the Communications Dept at the Boro to update
our webpage on Rosenet.
Parenting Fair at Kirby Children’s Center Feb 11th. MAASA invited.
Possible parent workshop—Peggy Fitzpatrick
The Elks in Peer leadership convention. Elks is sending 3 Madison
Teens and paying their expenses. Terry will try to connect with
the attendees to see if they have an interest in serving on MAASA
Greg Robertson gave permission for us to do a short
presentation about opioid abuse at Meet the Coaches night. Need a
health professional to accompany. Terry is reached out to the AD
to schedule.
Color run-Terry will contact organizers of the Rockaway run for details
Arrive Alive at Bottle Hill Day—need to schedule soon.
Hidden in Plain Sight and USTANDERS for MHS fall 2017
Senior Outreach-John H and Terry Z. will attend the next SCAC meeting

The Elks in Madison has a robust drug abuse prevention program-
MAASA is hoping to connect with them. They are sending
Three Madison teens to their leadership convention in Feb.
Be great to connect with the teens to see if they would like to
