New Business:
Madison Health Department - Samantha Robinson from the Madison Health Department
discussed at length a grant proposal from the Grotta Fund for Senior Care. The grant will survey
the needs of Madison residents with a major focus on health. Samantha stated the Rand Survey,
a standardized survey, will help determine a needs and health assessment. The grant will occur
in two parts, with the inception being January through June. Samantha assured the committee
that the only recommendation needed was a formal Letter of Support which was written by Lisa
Gulla, Madison Health Department, to the Grotta Fund for Senior Care.
The letter was presented to the Committee and signed by those present. Further organizational
support and Council support may only be requested upon receipt of this grant and that is yet to be
determined.
Board Members for 2016
Carmela then requested if all Board members were to be returning to the Senior Citizens
Advisory Committee for the upcoming year.
Goals for 2016
1. A small budget of perhaps $500.00 from the Boro Council
2. A thorough understanding of the new Rosenet website
3. Future plans and projects to be determined
