Sustainable Madison Advisory Committee Meeting Minutes April 2, 2013 Chair, Betsy Uhlman called the meeting to order at 7:35pm. The Chair read the STATEMENT IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN PUBLIC MEETINGS ACT Roll Call – The following acknowledged their presence: Harriet Honigfeld Ellen Kranefuss Betsy Uhlman Bob Vogel Kathleen Caccavale MINUTES FOR JAN. 29 MEETING WERE APPROVED. NO MAIL. GENERAL DISCUSSION 1. Sustainable Project Updates Conservation Easements Nine easements found and three historical easements. Complete Streets: Resolution done on website. Rosedale/Ridgedale underway. Safe Routes to School Pilot launched. Composting: Some seed funds have been raised. Rotary grant opportunity of $500 to $1200 is being applied for. 2. Website and SJ write-ups In the Green Forum wrap-up, the organizers felt that Sustainable Madison can serve centralized functions: communication plan, website and “gray area” review. The SustainableMadisonNJ.org website is not functional yet although a plan for improving it has been made. Kathi and Ellen are working on the site. SJ writeup deadlines are June 16, so we need to set earlier specific deadlines for completed projects. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 9:05pm.
