Sustainable Madison Advisory Committee

Sustainable Madison Minutes March 19, 2019 Chairperson, Kathleen Caccavale, called the meeting to order at 1:01 pm. STATEMENT IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN PUBLIC MEETINGS ACT: “In compliance with the Open Public Meetings Act, adequate notice of this meeting of the Sustainable Madison Advisory Committee Meeting was provided by transmitting a copy of the meeting notice to the Madison Eagle and Morris County Daily Record, posting a copy on the bulletin board at the main entrance of the Hartley Dodge Memorial, and filing a copy in the office of the Clerk, all on July 2, 2012. This notice was made available to members of the general public.” The following acknowledged their presence: Kathleen Caccavale, Chairperson Gene Cracovia, Resident/Regular Member Peter Fried, Resident/Regular Member Joan Maccari, MEC Representative/Regular Member Lisa Jordan, Resident/Regular Member Membership list was updated. Tracking sheet was reviewed. Chairperson asked that correspondence relating to Madison’s Sustainable Jersey re- certification be sent to her official e-mail address at sustainablemadison@rosenet.org (in compliance with the Open Public Records Act - OPRA), and that Borough Administrator, Ray Codey, be cc’d on correspondence with borough officials. There was discussion and shared advice about how best to use the Sustainable Jersey List of Actions. Finding a student intern to collect data was discussed. There was discussion about who should be contacted on the Board of Education. Next meeting will be April 16, 2019 at 1:00 pm. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 2:52 pm.
