Sustainable Madison Minutes April 16, 2019 Chairperson, Kathleen Caccavale, called the meeting to order at 1:04 pm. STATEMENT IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN PUBLIC MEETINGS ACT: “In compliance with the Open Public Meetings Act, adequate notice of this meeting of the Sustainable Madison Advisory Committee Meeting was provided by transmitting a copy of the meeting notice to the Madison Eagle and Morris County Daily Record, posting a copy on the bulletin board at the main entrance of the Hartley Dodge Memorial, and filing a copy in the office of the Clerk. This notice was made available to members of the general public.” The following acknowledged their presence: Kathleen Caccavale, Chairperson Gene Cracovia, Resident/Regular Member Peter Fried, Resident/Regular Member Joan Maccari, MEC Representative/Regular Member Lisa Jordan, Resident/Regular Member Marilyn Musielski, Resident/Regular Member March 19 minutes were unanimously approved. Sustainable Madison webpage updates are still in progress. Tracking sheet actions and assignments were reviewed. • There was discussion and shared advice about how best to use the Sustainable Jersey List of Actions. • There was discussion of how to use Google Docs, and how to use Sustainable Jersey uploads. • If possible, all narratives and docs should be uploaded in time for the May 14 meeting and must be uploaded by June 1. They may be incomplete or need revision, but they are required, in some form, so that the item can be reviewed for the final application. • Reminder to “Save Action Submission” for each action and change its status to “Completed” before moving on to the next or leaving Sustainable Jersey dashboard. Completed actions can be revised up until the time we press the Submit button on June 2. • Gold star rating was explained to be essentially about energy and waste management and is not simply an added level above the silver rating.
