MINUTES BOROUGH OF MADISON – ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT REORGANIZATION MEETING, THURSDAY, JANUARY 12, 2017 7:30 P.M., Hartley Dodge Memorial, Court Room, 50 Kings Road, Madison, N.J. 1. CALL TO ORDER BY CHAIRPERSON 2. ANNOUNCEMENT OF NOTICE (STATEMENT OF COMPLIANCE): The Reorganization meeting of the Borough of Madison Zoning Board of Adjustment was held on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at 7:30 pm in Room #140 of the Hartley Dodge Memorial Building located at Kings Road, Madison, N.J. Mr. Hall, Board attorney opened the meeting and requested the reading of the public notice as follows: “Let the minutes reflect that adequate notice of this meeting has been provided in the following manner: At the reorganization meeting of the Board, held on January 8, 2016, the Board, by resolution adopted a schedule of meetings. On January 12, 2016, a copy of the schedule of meetings was posted at the bulletin board at the main entrance of the Hartley Dodge Memorial, was sent to the Madison Eagle and the Daily Record and filed with the Borough Clerk, all in accordance with the “Open Public Meetings Act”. Both Mary Sue Salko and Timothy Fitzsimmons were excused from this meeting tonight. 3. Oath of Office administered to appointed and re-appointed Board members APPOINTMENTS – Mary Sue Salko, Regular Member Four Year Term through December 31, 2020 Timothy Fitzsimmons, Class IV, Alternate # 2 Two Year Term through Dec. 31, 2018 Gary Hall, Board Attorney read the Re-appointment for the following Board member. RE-APPOINTMENTS – Anne Lawless, Class IV, Alternate # 1 Member Unexpired Two Year Term through December 31, 2017 4. Roll Call 5. Pledge of Allegiance 6. Election of Chairperson for 2017 - Mrs. Driscoll nominated Mr. Santoro for Chairperson and he was appointed by a voice vote of aye from all attending Board members. 7. Election of Vice Chairperson for 2017 – Ms. Kaar nominated Mrs. Driscoll for Vice Chairperson and she was appointed by a voice vote of aye from all attending Board members. 8. Resolution to appoint Zoning Board Attorney - A voice vote of aye was heard from all Board members in approval. ZBA Reorganization Meeting 1/12/17 Page 1 9. Resolution pertaining to the appointment Planning Consultant, and Board Secretary for 2017 A voice vote of aye was heard from all Board members in approval of the appointment. 10. Resolution to publish appointment of Board Attorney w/o competitive bidding 11. Resolution appointing Frances Boardman to review applications for Completeness – A voice vote of aye was heard in approval of this appointment. 12. Resolution appointing Lorraine Sola as Recording Secretary for the Year 2017 - A voice vote of aye was heard in approval of this appointment. 13. Resolution designating 2017 meeting dates – A voice vote of aye was heard from all Board members 14. Resolution regarding means of notification of meetings, i.e. two newspapers, Bulletin Board and Borough Clerk 15. Resolution for continuation of Technical Coordinating Committee Meetings 16.
