They were asked to shut off the red lights. They did not, ticket issued. Sign was changed without approval and/or permit from the City. They are on the docket after being tabled last month. 180 Salem St – EXOTIC HOOKAH – flashing lights in the window. 287 Salem St – CASA BLANCA WIRELESS – scrolling sign in the window. 525 Main St – BAJA MARKET – flashing lights in the window. 190 Salem St – MUDA FASHIONS – flashing lights/changing colors in the window. 206 Salem St – FABIAN AUTO CENTER – pennant removed. 397 Salem St – J & E BEAUTY – flashing lights/changing colors in the window. 360 Salem St – RED LIGHT BARBERSHOP – flashing lights in the window. 676 Salem St – INTIMATE WHISPERS SALON – flashing lights/changing colors in the window. 695 Salem St – MALDEN HOUSE OF PIZZA – flashing lights/changing colors in the window. 43 Lebanon St – NEAPOLI PIZZA – flashing lights/changing colors in the window. Bryant & Cross St – SNOWBLOWER TUNE UP sign removed from a telephone pole. l.) The committee reviewed a sign application from Happy Space Academy located at 94R Broadway. Ed Spinney, from Sign Art was present. Motion was made by Nelson Miller, seconded by Deborah Burke to approve this sign. 5 Yea – 0 Nay, Lip-Yea, Miller-Yea, Burke-Yea, Spadafora- Yay, Murphy Yea 2.) The committee reviewed a sign application from Mystic Valley Salon located at 888 Eastern Ave. Ed Spinney from Sign Art was present. Motion was made by Nelson Miller, seconded by Craig Spadafora to table this sign application as sign size does not permit equal size size for all ten perspective tenants. 5 Yea – 0 Nay, Lip-Yea, Miller-Yea, Burke-Yea, Spadafora- Yea, Murphy Yea 3.) The committee reviewed a sign application from Salon Centric located at 1 Highland Ave. John Peterson from Metro Sign and Awning was present. Motion was made by Craig Spadafora, seconded by Deborah Burke to approve this sign with the condition that the lights be turned off within one hour after close of business. 5 Yea – 0 Nay, Lip-Yea, Miller-Yea, Burke-Yea, Spadafora- Yea, Murphy Yea 4.) The committee reviewed a sign application from UMA located at 145 Pleasant Street. Naomi Kahn from CRG Graphics was present. Motion was made by Craig Spadafora, seconded by Deborah Burke to table this application. Sign is too big at 128 square feet. The committee reviewed a sign application from Friends Auto Repair located at 165 Eastern Ave. Gabriel from Cigoto signs was present. Motion was made by Craig Spadafora, seconded by Nelson Miller to approve this sign application. 5 Yea – 0 Nay, Lip-Yea, Miller-Yea, Burke-Yea, Spadafora- Yea, Murphy Yea 6.) The committee reviewed a sign application from Mr, Suazo Barber Shop located at 21 Lebanon Street. Gabe Garcia was present. Business owner was unable to attend. Motion was made by Nelson Miller, seconded by Craig Spadafora to approve this sign. 5 Yea – 0 Nay, Lip-Yea, Miller-Yea, Burke-Yea, Spadafora- Yea, Murphy Yea 7.) The committee reviewed a sign application from Mr. Suazo Barber Shop located at 428 Main Street. Gabe Garcia was present. Business owner was unable to attend. Motion was made by Craig Spadafora, seconded by Deborah Burke to table this sign application. All other signs on this building are gold and black. 5 Yea – 0 Nay, Lip-Yea, Miller-Yea, Burke-Yea, Spadafora- Yea, Murphy Yea 8.) The committee reviewed a sign application from X-Mobile located at 436 Main Street. Street. Nobody was present.
