Approval of minutes:
The Committee approved the March 10, 2022, meeting minutes with a motion made by Yem
Lip, seconded by Nelson Miller.

Lynn & Wesley St – JUNKLUGGERS sign removed from sidewalk
Pierce & Forest St – JUNKLUGGERS sign removed from traffic island
919 Eastern Av – JUNKLUGGERS sign removed from the sidewalk
Maplewood &Waite St – JUNKLUGGERS sign removed from the sidewalk
Salem & Hunting St – JUNKLUGGERS sign removed from the traffic
island
107 Dexter St – JUNKLUGGERS sign removed from the sidewalk
Bainbridge & Rockwell St – LAWN MOWER TUNE UP sign removed from

385 Lebanon St – SNOWBLOWER TUNE UP sign removed from a
telephone pole
806 Salem St – WE BUY DIABETIC SUPPLIES sign removed from a

375 Salem St – WE BUY DIABETIC SUPPLIES sign removed from a
telephone pole
Salem & Beach St – CRUNCH FITNESS sign removed from traffic island
Center & Pearl St – CRUNCH FITNESS sign removed from the traffic
island
356 Lebanon St – WE BUY HOUSES sign removed from the telephone
pole
235 Washington St – open air parking lot sign installed without
approval and/or permit from the Sign Design Committee – ticket issued
15 Maplewood St – MAPLEWOOD MEAT MARKET – had a flashing
lottery sign. We advised them of the Sign Ordinance and they stopped
the flashing sign
360 Salem St – RED LIGHT BARBERSHOP – put up a sign for MORENO
BABRBERSHOP without approval and/or permit. They were given
Irene’s contact info and told to apply
372 Salem St – GRACE OF JEHOVAH BEAUTY SUPPLIES – had a banner
flying, we advised them of the Sign Ordinance, and they took it down
672 Salem St – CRUSH JUICERS – flashing sign turned off
l.) The committee reviewed a sign application from Finish Line Auto Body located at 497
Broadway. Gerard Male, business owner and Mehmet Sahin from the sign company were
present. Motion was made by Nelson Miller, seconded by Deborah Burke to approve this
sign with the following condition:
a.) Send updated proposal to ISD.

2.) The committee reviewed a sign application from You and I Hair Salon located at 163
Eastern Ave. Mehmet Sahin from the sign company was present. Motion was made by
Deborah Burke, seconded by Yem Lip to approve this sign.

3.) The committee reviewed a sign application from Issa Nail Bar located at 84 Eastern Ave.
The business owner, Sabrina was present. Motion was made by Yem Lip, seconded by
Deborah Burke to approve this sign.

4.) The committee reviewed a sign application from Lash Lash Mama located at 447 Charles
Street. Veronica Rosas, business owner and Vasu Patel from the sign company were present.
Motion was made by Nelson Miller, seconded by Yem Lip to deny the wall sign, (applicant
may go to the BOA), and approve the window signs with the following conditions:
a.) Shrink down to 3 square feet each window sign.
b.) Send new rendering to ISD.

5.) The committee reviewed a sign application from Mineirao Steakhouse located at 100
Ferry Street. Business owners, Sergio and Val, as well as Neilson from the sign company
were present. Motion was made by Nelson Miller, seconded by Yem Lip to deny the front
sign (applicant may go to the Board of Appeal), and approve the parking lot side sign with
the following conditions:
a. Submit new rendering to ISD.
b. Lights are to be turned off one hour after close of business.

6.) The committee reviewed a sign application from Up Beauty and Spa located at 101 Main
Street. Business Owner, Antonio was present. Motion was made by Nelson Miller, seconded
by Yem Lip to approve this sign with the following conditions:
a. Move the Cross Street side sign to below the window.
b. Send revised rendering to ISD.

7.) The committee reviewed a sign application from Misty Mountain Shop located at 323
Commercial Street. Motion was made by Nelson Miller, seconded by Yem Lip to deny this
sign because it is too big. Only 40 Square feet is allowed. Applicant May go to the Board of
Appeal. The committee approved 2 temporary Banners for a period of six months.

8.) The committee reviewed a sign application from Mattress Zone located at 888 Eastern
Ave. Ed Spinney from Sign Art was present. Motion was made by Nelson Miller, seconded by
Deborah Burke to approve the aesthetics of this sign.

9.) The committee reviewed a sign application from Infinite Cooling located at 121 Madsion
Street. Ed Spinney from Sign Art was present. Motion was made by Yem Lip, seconded by
Nelson Miller, to approve the aesthetics of this sign.
