Brown – Present CITY OFFICIALS COURT REPORTER City Attorney Patrick Gunn Lauren Goodman Planning and Zoning Director Melanie Rippetoe ATTENDEES Randy Brown CASE #16-V-006 CALL TO ORDER Vice-Chairman Mayer called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. and asked Director Rippetoe to call the roll. The record of attendance is shown above. APPROVAL OF MINUTES A motion to approve the August 11, 2016 minutes as submitted was made by Member Nissenbaum and seconded by Member Mayer. The minutes were approved 5-0. OLD BUSINESS None NEW BUSINESS CASE #16-V-006 Director Rippetoe gave the details of the variance case: Randy Brown, Precision Fence and Deck, on behalf of Joseph and Melissa Budde, has applied for a 10 foot variance from the rear yard building setback and is required in order to construct the deck to be located at 912 Kinsale Drive. The variance is required in order to approve an associated building permit. The property is zoned R-3 Single Family Residential. Director Rippetoe verified the adjacent property owners were notified about the variance request and the City had received no feedback regarding this case. Testimony #1 – Randal Brown, Precision Fence & Deck, on behalf of Joseph and Melissa Budde, owners, summarized the project and the reason for the requesting the variance. With all the questions satisfactorily answered, Member Mayer made a motion and seconded by Member Miller to approve the variance. The resulting vote was 5-0 in favor of the variance.
