July Board of Review Public Meeting Date: July 22, 2015 Place: City Hall Present: Lynda Beaton, Judianne Sibley- Summers and Ed Kriskywicz Absent: None Meeting was called to order at 8: 00 A. M. A motion was made by Judianne Sibley-Summers and a 2" d by Ed Kriskywicz to appoint Lynda Beaton the chairperson for this meeting. Motion Carried A motion was made by Judianne Sibley-Summers and a 2nd by Ed Kriskywicz to appoint Marlene" Molly" Whetstone as the secretary to the Board of Review. Motion Carried Properties Discussed: 1) John Perschbacher Code: 051- 374- 714- 01 Change: Hardship was presented. Mr. Perschbacher was present and did address the Board concerning 2 items in his application. Motion: Motion by Ed Kriskywicz and a 2nd by Lynda Beaton to deny granting the exemption, income over the guidelines. Motion carried. 2) Safe Title Code: 051- 490- 374- 00 Change: Change the Assessed and Taxable from$ 5, 000 to$ 0. 00 to business was out of Manistee by 12- 31- 2014. Motion: Motion by Sibley-Summers, and a 2nd by Kriskywicz to approve the change. Motion carried. 3) William and Connie Slade Code: 051- 448- 728- 09 Change: Hardship Application was presented. Motion: Motion by Beaton, supported by Sibley-Summers, to deny granting the exemption due to the fact that the property is commercial and not a principle residence. Motion Carried 4) Agri Valley Broadband Inc. Code: 051- 790- 056- 00 Change: Remove the value because the property was removed prior to 12- 31- 2014 and to change the Assessed and Taxable value from$ 38, 100 to$ 0. 00. Motion: Motion by Kriskywicz, and a 2" d by Beaton to approve the change. Motion Carried 5) Nancy Catlett Code: 051- 453- 705- 05 Change: Hardship Application was presented. Motion: Motion by Kriskywicz, and a 2" d by Sibley-Summers to grant the hardship exemption and make the Assessed and Taxable value of$ 30, 400 to$ 0. 00. Motion Carried with Beaton not voting. 6) Daniel and Donna Korzeniewski Code: 051- 654- 701- 08 Change: Clerical Error a shed was not removed from the property when the house value was removed. Motion: Motion by Kriskywicz, and a 2nd by Sibley-Summers to remove the shed and to adjust the Assessed and Taxable Value from$ 4, 600 to$ 4, 000. Motion Carried 7) Harry and Carol Conway Code: 051- 654- 704- 03 Change: Hardship Application was presented. Motion: Motion by Sibley-Summers and a 2nd by Kriskywicz to grant the hardship exemption and make the Assessed Value from$ 34, 000 to$ 0. 00 and Taxable Value from$ 29, 419 to$ 0. 00. Motion Carried 8) Arthur and Cheryl Krause Code: 051- 764- 712- 07 Change: Veterans Application was presented.-- Motion: Motion by Sibley-Summers and a 2nd by Kriskywicz to grant the veterans exemption and make the Assessed Value from$ 20,900 to$ 0.00 and Taxable Value from$ 19, 273 to$ 0.00. Motion Carried 9) Richard L Skocelas Code: 051- 146- 710- 07 Change: Veterans Application was presented.-- Motion: Motion by Kriskywicz and a 2" d by Sibley-- Summers to grant the veterans exemption and make the Assessed Value from$ 41, 800 to$ 0. 00 and Taxable Value from$ 37, 249 to$ 0. 00.
