MANISTEE CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION MINUTES OF AUGUST 10, 2010 The Manistee City Council met in a work session on Tuesday,August 10,2010 at 7: 15 p. Council m., Chambers, City Hall. MEMBERS PRESENT: Ilona Haydon,Richard Mack,Colleen Kenny,Hank Yonkman,Alan Marshall, Bob Hornkohl, Ed Cote MEMBERS ABSENT: OTHERS PRESENT: Department Directors, Public and Media Discussion on Deer Herd Management. Police Chief Dave Bachman invited MDNRE Wildlife Biologist Richard Earle to attend this evening. Council discussed the issue, a majority of Council wanted Police Chief Dave Bachman to apply for a permit and develop a plan that will go back to City Council. Public Safety Discussion Updates. City Manager Mitch Deisch gave a brief presentation about upcoming public safety discussions,specifically covering the proposed outline of the plan. Council suggested including more demographic information. City Manager asked if staff was headed in the right direction with the outline. Councilmember Hornkohl said yes.
