MANISTEE CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION MINUTES OF NOVEMBER 30,2010 The Manistee City Council met in a work session on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at 7: 00 p. m., Council Chambers, City Hall. MEMBERS PRESENT: Richard Mack, Ilona Haydon, Catherine Zaring, Ed Cote, Bob Hornkohl, Alan Marshall MEMBERS ABSENT: Colleen Kenny OTHERS PRESENT: Department Directors, Public and Media Presentation and Discussion on Public Safery White Papers. City Manager Mitch Deisch,Finance Director Ed Bradford,Police Chief Dave Bachman, and Acting Fire Chief Timm Smith made their PowerPoint presentation identifying seven public safety organizational models and two alternate funding models. Reemphasized the point that staff,as directed by Council,would not be ma.king a recommendation as to a preferred model. Several questions were asked by Council and were answered by staff. Staff and Council will continue discussion on the Public Safety White Paper Study at the December 14, 2010 work session.
