MANISTEE CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION MINUTES OF MAY 10, 2011 The Manistee City Council met in a work session on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at 7: 00 p.m., Hardy Hall, Ramsdell Theatre, 101 Maple Street, Manistee MI 49660. MEMBERS PRESENT: Richard Mack, Catherine Zaring, Ed Cote, Bob Hornkohl, Alan Marshall, Colleen Kenny, Ilona Haydon MEMBERS ABSENT: None OTHERS PRESENT: Department Directors, Public and Media Joint Discussion on Ramsdell Theatre. City Council met in a joint work session with interested parties of Ramsdell Theatre. A presentation was made that included an historical review, current and proposed operating model, building needs/ conceptual plans, a tour of the building to highlight recent improvements and deficient areas. Presented a study by Tom Gerdom on the Ramsdell and discussed implementation of the study. Discussed the HVAC system including costs, timeline, funding and financing. Based upon discussion staff will continue to work with Fishbeck Thompson Carr& Huber on completing the HVAC bid. Council briefly discussed future operational models for the Ramsdell Theatre.
