MANISTEE CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION MINUTES OF SEPTEMBER 13, 2011 The Manistee City Council met in a work session on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at 7: 00 p.m., Council Chambers, City Hall, 70 Maple Street, Manistee MI 49660. MEMBERS PRESENT: Richard Mack, Catherine Zaring, Ed Cote, Bob Hornkohl, Alan Marshall MEMBERS ABSENT: Colleen Kenny, Ilona Haydon OTHERS PRESENT: Harbor Commission Members: Ross Spencer, Ty Cook and Roger Zielinski, Department Directors, Public and Media Joint Discussion with the Manistee Harbor Commission. Mayor Richard Mack introduced the purpose of the meeting. Ross Spencer gave his perspective as it relates to Ordinance 266 and expressed frustration with Administration as it relates to obtaining information. Mr. Spencer submitted information to City Council that addresses the issues/ problems from his perspective. Discussed issue between Charter, Ordinance and Bylaws. Consensus: Discussed the need to send to the Ordinance Committee to consider revising ordinance to be a recommendation board to City Council. Look to see if combining committees is an option.
