MANISTEE CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION MINUTES OF JULY 10, 2012 The Manistee City Council met in a work session on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at 7: 00 p.m., Council Chambers, City Hall, 70 Maple Street, Manistee MI 49660. MEMBERS PRESENT: Catherine Zaring, Beth Adams, Bob Hornkohl, Ilona Haydon, Alan Marshall, Sid Scrimger MEMBERS ABSENT: Colleen Kenny OTHERS PRESENT: Department Directors. Media and Public 2012 Capital Project Update. Mitch Deisch, City Manager presented updates on the Maple Street Bridge, First Street Upgrade, Fish Cleaning Station, First Street Pavilion, SSES Project, Harbor Dredging, LRSB grants ( playground equipment and Rietz Park fencing and sprinklers). Regular updates will be made to Council throughout the construction season during work sessions. City Manager also advised that staff is working on several Requests for Proposals for the Engineer of Record, IT provider and for sanitary sewer cleaning. Discussed the Health Department beach sampling process. Has started the process to fill the Utility Director position as of January 1, 2013.
