MANISTEE CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION MINUTES OF APRIL 28, 2015 The Manistee City Council met in a special work session on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at 6 p.m., Council Chambers, City Hall, 70 Maple Street, Manistee, Michigan 49660. MEMBERS PRESENT: Colleen Kenny, Roger Zielinski, Robert Goodspeed, James Smith, Mark Wittlieff, Eric Gustad, Ed Cote MEMBERS ABSENT: None OTHERS PRESENT: Interim City Manager, Media, Public Public Comments. None Discussion on City Manager Recruitment Process. Kathie Grinzinger, MML Executive Recruiter provided an overview of the process that they will use. Steps included: establish community profile, candidate profile, and culture of the organization; following which they will take on the tasks of building materials and placing advertising, collect resumes/ initial screening, confidential matrix, provide short- list of potential interviewees, provide interview guide, schedule interviews and finally closing out the process. Ms. Grinzinger interviewed administrative staff earlier today on what staff expects in a city manager and the skill set of the current staff. The City Council worked through the development of the community and candidate profiles. Adjourned at 7: 50 p.m. R.
