MANISTEE CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION MINUTES OF SEPTEMBER 13, 2016 The Manistee City Council met in a work session on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at 7: 00 p.m., Council Chambers, City Hall, 70 Maple Street, Manistee, Michigan 49660. MEMBERS PRESENT: Colleen Kenny, Lynda Beaton, Erin Pontiac, Roger Zielinski, Robert Goodspeed, James Smith, Mark Wittlieff MEMBERS ABSENT: ALSO PRESENT: City Manager, Public Safety Director, City Attorney, Media, Public Public Comments. None Discussion on Blight. Public Safety Director and staff made a presentation on blight enforcement. CONSENSUS: Post information on status of blight complaints on the website. Discussion on DDA Director. Reviewed the process used in hiring a director, specifically the lack of City Council approval.
