PERSONNEL COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES OF JUNE 12, 2023 A meeting of the Manistee City Council Personnel Committee was held on Monday, June 12, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. in the City Manager’s Office, City Hall, 70 Maple Street, Manistee MI 49660. MEMBERS PRESENT: Jermaine Sullivan, James Grabowski, David Bachman OTHERS PRESENT: City Manager William Gambill Reviewed and discussed Community Development/Planning and Zoning Administrator Position. Change Michigan Driver’s License requirement to “Driver’s license or ability to get…” Post on the MML site. Reviewed and discussed Building Official Position. Trades will be handled by the State of Michigan or AGS. The City of Cadillac and Manistee Township both use AGS and are happy with the service. This position will assist the Police in code enforcement. Allow for quick turnaround times. Consensus: Post both positions as soon as possible. Committee discussed Police Cadet program – two year, pay for education.
