MEMBERS PRESENT Tom Swedenborg, Ty Cook, George Becker, Mary Lou Mydill, Bill Gambill MEMBERS ABSENT Jeff Mikula OTHERS PRESENT Kelly McColl APPROVAL OF AGENDA T MOTION by Tom Swedenborg, second by Mary Lou Mydill, to approve the agenda as submitted. Voice vote – motion carried. AF PUBLIC COMMENTS ON AGENDA ITEMS • None APPROVAL OF MINUTES MOTION by George Becker, second by Tom Swedenborg, to approve the minutes for the April D 18, 2023, as presented. Voice vote – motion carried. R UNFINISHED BUSINESS • America’s Great Loop Cruisers’ Association (AGLCA) website ➢ Provide a write-up on their website about the Manistee Harbor/Municipal Marina ➢ Do we have a login as members to the website? ➢ Ability to track inquiries about Manistee Harbor/Marina from their site? • Commercial Slips on Seawall ➢ Manistee Inn and Marina short-term rental boat docking? – Will check with Marina Manger ➢ Carefree Boat Club – next season have them at this location with boat rentals? – Will check with Marina Manger • Marina Building Upgrades ➢ Painting should be finished by end of day Thursday, June 22. Once painting is done will begin decorating. REPORTS • Harbormaster – No Report. • City Manager – Boat Launch Revenue Harbor Commission Minutes – June 20, 2023 Page 1 NEW BUSINESS • Tracking Boaters o Dockwa – working through the free month – dashboard provides lead information, boaters can leave comments/feedback, and they will provide assistance on attracting and retaining customers. o Comment Cards • Other ➢ Open House in September. o Band, drinks, and burgers o Radio interview to promote ➢ Working with volunteer group and local businesses – making great strides ➢ Rack Cards – in ten locations, locally and in Chicago. Would like to be able to track if boaters are finding Manistee through these rack cards ➢ Customer service o Training for staff o Best practices o Fully staffed?
