Manistee PEG Commission December 2, 2024 Meeting Minutes 1. Call to Order Meeting was called to order at 6:00 pm by Barry Lind Present: Barry Lind, Al Gorman, CPT Chris Jefferies (in attendance for Chief Tom Hernden, Ex-Officio Member) Absent: none 2. Approval of Agenda: Motion by Gorman, supported by Lind to approve agenda as presented. M/C 3. Approval of Minutes: Motion by Lind, supported by Gorman to approve minutes to the November 18, 2024 meeting. M/C 4. Public Comment: None 5. Correspondence: None 6. Directors Report a. Lind 7. Old Business: a. City Council Update: After the City Council update, Mr. Lind did not receive specific guidance as to the future of the PEG Commission. With that, the PEG Commission will continue on the current course. Additionally, after the meeting several people reached out about if the website was operational ( there had been a maintenance issue that resulted in videos from youtube not populating on the PEG site), and one person expressed interest in possibly joining the PEG commission b. Mr. Lind has reached out to Spectrum/Charter for an updated quote based on the new server location in Kennedy School. There is no ETA on when the quote will be returned to Mr. Lind. 8. New Business: a. It is anticipated that there will be a new member joining the PEG Commission, their application is in and the City Council will vote on application at the 3 DEC City Council Meeting. b. Al Gorman will not be available for the January and possibly the 3 February meeting . It is anticipated that the January meeting will be used to inform any new PEG members on the history of the Commission as well as address the future of where the PEG Commission would like to go in the coming year. The February meeting will be rescheduled from 3 FEB to 20 FEB. 9. Motion by Lind, supported by Gorman to adjourn the meeting at 6:12 pm. M/C 10. Next meeting Monday, January 6, 2025, 6:00 pm at the Manistee City Council Chambers.
