Manistee PEG Commission May 5, 2025 Meeting Minutes 1. Call to Order Meeting was called to order at 6:00 pm by Barry Lind Present: Barry Lind, Alissa Stickel, Al Gorman, Chief Tom Hernden, Ex-Officio Member Absent: None 2. Approval of Agenda: Motion by Stickel/Gorman, supported by Lind to approve agenda as presented. M/C 3. Approval of Minutes: Approval of the 7 APR 2025 meeting minutes. 4. Public Comment: None 5. Correspondence: None 6. Directors Report a. Two meetings supported by the PEG Commission, the Filer and Manistee Township meetings changed dates, video support will be coordinated. 7. Old Business: a. Charter/ Spectrum Status: Barry Lind provided updates on Spectrum’ s installation of fiber-line at Kennedy School. Schedule of installation of fiber to school and subsequent coordination of server install is pending. b. There is some old equipment that needs to be sorted and disposal coordinated with the city. c. Meeting with the Manistee Tourism and potential meeting is on hold as they retool their current website, once they complete that work meeting will be revisited. d. Discussed reboot of calendar, to include: how potential marketing could work; minimum viable product release; potential use/admin cases. Made tentative goals for accomplishment of work to be done over the next several months. 8. New Business: a. none discussed 9. Motion by Lind, supported by Gorman/ Stickel to adjourn the meeting at 6:35 pm. M/C 10. Next meeting Monday, June 2, 2025, 6:00 pm at the Manistee City Council Chambers.
