TREE COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES JUNE 7,2010 MEMBERS PRESENT: Pat Sagala, Mary Ann Johnson, Bob 7ohnson, Priscilla Rulison, Cookie Friedrich, Pat Williams, Sue Verheek MEMBERS ABSENT: None OTFERS PRESENT: Jack Garber, StaffLiaison, Kathie Boyle Pat Sagala called meeting to order at 5: 00 p. m. OLD BUSINESS None NEW BUSINESS Cha1k Art Contest will be held on Friday, July 2nd, 2010 at Pine & River Street.No ( rain date). the children. The Registration will begin at 3:30 p.m_Pat, Sue, Cookie and Betty Ann will register contest begins at 4:00 p. m. Garber will have barricades in the area to block offvehicle traffic at the intersection and verify that the sprinklers in the area will be off. He also will check on having fences moved from area around marina construction. Pat S. is going to the U.S. Forestry for donations, purchase bubbles and pick up books from the Book Store. Ka.thie B. will pick up Dairy Queen coupons. Pat S. will ca11 members to remind them to attend the chalk art contest and if available help with registration. Stump removal-Wayne Delia Stump Removal Service will be in sometime in June or July to begin grinding stumps throughout the city. The village of Onekema contacted Pat W. for information on starting a Tree Commission. Kathie sent Mr.Hughes copy of our bylaws and tree planting specifications. Next meeting will be July 2,2010 at 4: m. -this will be the "Chalk Art Contest"at River 00 p. Pine Street. August meeting will be on August 2,2010 at 5: m. at City Hall in the First Floor Lunch 00 p.
