Roll Call Present: 11 - McMeans, Howe, Sitkiewitz, Nickels, Kummer, Czekala, Novak, Lotz, Williams, Brey and Pelot 3. Discussion City of Manitowoc Page 1 Committee of the Whole Meeting Minutes November 25, 2019 19-1101 Committee of the Whole discussion on selling the following properties for development: a. MAVCB Building b. City Hall Parking Lot (possibly acquiring HTR building then) c. Bluff east of Madison School d. Boys and Girls Club request to potentially build on the Mirro Site Amy Townsend and Bill Bertsche from Manitowoc County Boys & Girls Club presented their vision for a Boys & Girls Club in Manitowoc County. They explained they are looking to partner with the City, and are exploring possible use of the Mirro site. Committee discussed plan for Mirro site. Remediation and contamination exploration will need to be done regardless of future use. Committee discussed that more exploration and information is needed as to what the actual costs would be. Mayor Justin Nickels provided a quick history of the Manitowoc Area Visitor & Convention Bureau (MAVCB) building. The building is City owned, discussion revolved around whether the City would entertain offers to purchase the property/building. Committee discussed possibility of selling City Hall parking lot if there is a party interested in purchasing. Committee discussed possibility of selling City land east of Madison School (Lakeview Park). Like the other properties discussed, Committee not interested in actively marketing property, but would be open to entertaining offers should they arise. Roll Call Alderperson Mike Howe left meeting at 7:00 PM. Present: 10 - McMeans, Sitkiewitz, Nickels, Kummer, Czekala, Novak, Lotz, Williams, Brey and Pelot Absent: 1- Howe Roll Call Alderperson Todd Lotz left meeting at 7:35 PM. Present: 9- McMeans, Sitkiewitz, Nickels, Kummer, Czekala, Novak, Williams, Brey and Pelot Absent: 2- Howe and Lotz 4.
