Call to Order Council President Sitkiewitz called the meeting to order at 5:40 p.m. 2. Roll Call Present: 11 - Sitkiewitz, Nickels, Czekala, Brey, Schlei, Vanderkin, Beeman, Cummings, Boldt, Reckelberg and Reilly Absent: 1- Kaderabek 3. Discussion and Action Items 24-1227 Update on MAVCB lawsuit No action taken at this time Council President Sitkiewitz read the notice to convene in closed session: Notice is hereby given that the above governmental body may adjourn into a closed session during the meeting as authorized by Section 19.85(1)(g) of the Wisconsin Statutes, which authorizes the governmental body to convene in closed session for the purpose of conferring with legal counsel for the governmental body who is rendering oral or written advice concerning strategy to be adopted by the body with respect to litigation in which it is or is likely to become involved. The specific subject matter that may be considered in closed session is: 24-1227 Update of MAVCB lawsuit Moved by Czekala and seconded by Brey, for the Committee of the Whole to convene in closed session. The motion carried by the following role call vote: Aye: 10 - Brey, Schlei, Beeman, Czekala, Boldt, Cummings, Vanderkin, Reckelberg, Sitkiewitz, Nickels Moved by Mayor Nickels, seconded by Czekala, for the Room Tax Commission to convene in closed session. The motion carried by the following roll call vote: Aye: 5 - Nickels, Czekala, Brey, Sitkiewitz, Reilly 4. The motion carried by the following roll call vote: Aye: 10 - Brey, Schlei, Beeman, Czekala, Boldt, Cummings, Vanderkin, Reckelberg, Sitkiewitz, Nickels A motion was made by Mayor Nickels, seconded by Czekala, for the Room Tax Commission to reconvene in open session. The motion carried by the following roll call vote: Aye: 5 - Nickels, Czekala, Brey, Sitkiewitz, Reilly 5. Reconvene in Open Session 24-1227 Update on MAVCB lawsuit No action taken 6. This meeting is being conducted both in Council Chambers at City Hall and via Zoom to maximize opportunities for residents to attend.
